We have a great idea for a program. I mean, that’s how it starts, right? Some guys get together (usually drunkenly) and holler about how if they had enough money to quit their jobs and write this super program that they’d take over the world and put Gates in his place, or somesuch drunken nonsense.

It’s funny how luck comes at you, sometimes, as that’s what happened.

Many years ago I was using a program that I absolutely hated and vowed to rewrite it when I had the chance. Years went by, it went by without updates and there was nothing better. I forgot about it.

Life went on and I got a different job and made a life for myself and so forth. You know the drill. Then, one day, a friend came to me and said: “If you could do anything you wanted, what would it be?” So I relayed my tale of that crappy program I wanted done right. Well, it turns out he knew a man who has a lot of investments, and now we’re one of those.

Hi there.

We’ve worked hard to get the company rounded out and ready for action, and I’ve spent a great deal of my past year on redoing that program so that it can really take off. Frankly, I love it, and those that have seen it (under NDA, of course) agree that there’s potential and a future. Enough that we now have space to bring in someone to help out and get the pace going. Hopefully we’ll win a few more investors in the idea here soon and really get moving on it.

I know my way around overall design, direction, and getting the core logic done right. What we need, now, is some GUI guy to make that core lickable. No, not Mac 2.0 lickable, but “old school” lickable. Professional, yet, awe-inspiring. We need someone to design it, and then code it: custom views, controls, widgets, and all that jazz.

If that’s you, and you’re in the Austin area, review the offer and respond. As time goes on, we’ll have more spaces available, so hang tight and watch this space.

Similarly, if you’re in the Austin area and have some cash burning a hole in your pocket and would like a piece of the action, contact us (the link’s at the top of the page) and arrange a meeting where we can NDA you and show off. We’re looking to hit the Mac desktop market and general consumers — none of that niche market stuff.
