I just pushed out version 1.0.1 of Switchblade for everyone. Version 1.0 had about six lines of code that caused a couple of memory hemorrhages. Specifically, it was leaking menu items and, well, that’s what it makes. Smiling

So, that’s done and it stays down and cool now, and I updated the software update appcast to a new and proper location (adding the proper redirects so that it still works for this update for the 1.0.1 folks). That’ll make it easier in the future to update than the old idea of using the CMS’ taxonomy feeds for delivery (Feeder is much better for Sparkle appcasts).

So, SB’s been kind of quiet for the past few months, no? Well, I’ve been working on the big mystery app and such, so I haven’t had time for it. That’s changing as we hit a lull and get some more people on board to help with the big one. An idea I had for SB’s future was to track the amount of time an application is open and offer to sort that way. Makes more sense for the programs that are always open like Mail or Safari/Firefox that they should float to the top of the Popular list if you’re using SB to switch apps rather than start them.
